Farahzad is located in northwestern Tehran, and is among the old places in Shemiran. The name Farahzad is given to the region due to its pleasant fresh weather. Farahzad is a summer recreational center for residents of Tehran and is famous for its many rich berry gardens.
With an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level (the highest spot in northern Tehran), Farahzad leads on the north to the outskirts of the Alborz mountain range.
