St. Stephen's Church is located in the middle of the Iranian borderlands and among the green nature of the border region of Jolfa and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and is considered to be the second most important Armenian church in Iran, which is considered important after the Church.
The Church of Jolfa Sonat Stepanos has three distinct buildings, as well as various sub-sections. Three main parts are: main prayer home, Daniel's ojagh, Naghoos tower.
Prayer room: The Prayer room is built on a 16 to 21 meter floor area. In the entrance of the carving with its beautifully decorated interior in the middle of the western side and the exquisite works of the early period of the Qajar period, and probably the time of Abbas Mirza al-Saltanah, son of Fath Ali Shah. The carvings of the bases and vaults and the semi-pillars and chains of the fronts and trimmings and decorations of the arched vault are so exquisite that they are undoubtedly the masterpieces of art carving.
Naghoos Tower: Located on a two-floors connected to the southern wall of the Church of Jolfa Stepanos and has a pentagonal octagonal dome mounted on eight columns of red stone with beautiful chaplets. This tower was restored during the reign of Abbas Mirza.
The forehead of the arches between these columns, which is the foot of the tower of the dome of the tower, is embossed with the striking arches of the angel, cross, bergamot, star and eight flowers, and on the level of the tower of the tower there is a burial place of the Elders of the religion of Christ, and on the wall of the northern side of the tower A part of the southern wall of the Church of Jolfa Stepanos is also seen, images are viewed on the pilgrimage of Maryam and Jesus Christ. In the courtyard of this tower, there are a number of graves that are said to belong to prominent and great Christian people. It is also believed that the Italian bell tower was restored but not returned.
